“They are responsive. They’re knowledgeable. They’re helpful.”
Waterford’s association president · Hear it in the video ↗
The challenge: costs and communication barriers
According to the president’s account, reaching neighbors required several layers of communication and getting calls returned was difficult. The association was also dealing with unpaid accounts and legal expenses. Routine management had begun to crowd out the work residents could actually see in their neighborhood.
The board looked at alternatives to its existing arrangement. It needed a way to self-manage that volunteers could learn, along with people who would help when questions came up.
The solution: connected tools and approachable support
The president describes meeting with EasyHOA by video and finding the team knowledgeable and responsive. She points to online payments, a dedicated website, email, and a community phone number as useful parts of the new arrangement.
She also explains the importance of keeping receipts and activity records in one place. Shared access gave the board a way to work from the same information and prepare for future board members, rather than leaving the next group to reconstruct the association’s history.
The results the president reported
In the September 2025 video, the president says the association had reduced bad debt after starting in April and was able to improve landscaping, lighting, a camera system, and sprinkler repairs. She credits easier online payment access and a more workable management process as part of that experience.
Those are Waterford’s reported results, not independently audited financial measures or a forecast for another community. The stronger lesson is the connection between usable payment tools, accessible records, responsive support, and a board able to focus on its neighborhood.
A lesson for volunteer boards
When comparing HOA software, look beyond a list of features. Ask who can see the records, how residents will make payments, how questions reach support, and what a new board will inherit. Waterford’s story brings those everyday questions together.
