“We’re saving about $600 a month.”
Aaron, board member · Hear it in the video ↗
The challenge: volunteers were already doing the work
Aaron says the association found itself managing things on its own despite its management arrangement. The board needed practical tools for the responsibilities it was already carrying, rather than another disconnected communication channel.
A shared Gmail account did not provide bookkeeping or the range of communication tools the board wanted. Records and messages needed a better home.
The solution: connected tools, then additional financial help
After comparing options, Aaron describes choosing EasyHOA for its value and responsive sales process. He mentions quick email answers and calls to address the board’s specific questions.
The onboarding process included both the board and the wider community. About a month later, the treasurer chose an additional financial package. Aaron says that package made the financial process much easier to manage. This was an additional service in the customer’s account, not a statement that every subscription includes identical financial services.
Documents and communication moved into a central system. The board used email and text broadcasts for payment reminders and urgent community updates, alongside accounting and payment tracking.
The results Aaron reported
In the December 2024 video, Aaron reports savings of about $600 per month. That is his association’s comparison, not an audited saving or a guarantee for another HOA. Costs depend on the arrangement being replaced and the software and services selected.
He also describes easier bookkeeping, payment tracking, and ongoing support. For this small community, the reported benefit was a combination of lower cost and fewer disconnected tools.
A lesson for smaller associations
Compare the whole operating setup: management fees, volunteer effort, communication tools, accounting work, and any optional services. A small community can still benefit from a connected workflow, but it should evaluate the full cost and service scope for its own needs.
